1. What is FLORIDA LOTTO ® with Double Play? FLORIDA LOTTO ® is the Lottery’s flagship Draw game that launched on April 29, 1988. As of October 8, 2020, every ticket purchased includes a randomly generated “multiplier” number that automatically increases non-jackpot cash prizes by two, three, four, five, or ten times! All FLORIDA LOTTO tickets cost $2 per play for the base game and cannot be canceled. Double Play is an add-on feature to FLORIDA LOTTO that gives players the chance to win additional prizes up to $250,000 during an additional drawing held immediately following the FLORIDA LOTTO drawing, using the same numbers and multiplier on their ticket. The Double Play add-on feature costs $1 more per play. 2. How do you play FLORIDA LOTTO with Double Play? At any Florida Lottery retail location, you can either use a new FLORIDA LOTTO digital or paper playslip to choose your numbers, Quick Pick or make other play selections, or tell the retailer. On the playslip, select six numbers from 1 to 53, or choose Quick Pick. If you want two chances to win in two drawings add Double Play for $1 more per play. EZmatch is a $1 add-on feature that gives players the opportunity to win cash prizes instantly! When a player adds EZmatch to their FLORIDA LOTTO purchase, six EZmatch numbers and instant prize amounts print on their ticket. If any of the EZmatch numbers match any of the FLORIDA LOTTO numbers on the ticket, the player instantly wins the prize amount shown. Players can win up to six times with EZmatch numbers on a single ticket. To play, select the EZmatch box on your playslip, or tell the retailer to add EZmatch to your ticket purchase. 14. Where and how can players claim their EZmatch prizes? Prizes less than $600 may be claimed at a Lottery retailer, while prizes of $600 or more must be claimed at a Florida Lottery office. EZmatch prizes can also be claimed by mail. If an EZmatch prize is paid by a retailer before the applicable FLORIDA LOTTO drawing on the ticket has occurred, a continuation ticket will be provided to the player for the FLORIDA LOTTO drawing. 15. How long do players have to claim an EZmatch prize? EZmatch prizes can be claimed immediately after purchase, you don’t have to wait for the drawing. EZmatch prizes must be claimed within 180 days after the first draw date on the FLORIDA LOTTO with EZmatch ticket. 16. How are EZmatch numbers generated? EZmatch is designed more like a Scratch-Off game than a traditional Draw game, with set prizes and set number of winners at each prize level within a designated pool of tickets pre-loaded into the system. When you purchase a Scratch-Off ticket, the winning prize amounts are printed on tickets and whether or not you are a winner, or what you win, is simply a matter of chance. Similarly, when a player chooses to play EZmatch, the system randomly determines whether that ticket will be an EZmatch winner or a non-winner. When a winner is generated, the system will print a set of EZmatch numbers to match one to six of the FLORIDA LOTTO numbers on the ticket and the pre-determined prize amount.
The EZmatch pool automatically replenishes when all EZmatch top prizes have been won, so there is always a top prize available. 17. If I select Advance Play and EZmatch with my FLORIDA LOTTO purchase, will I receive one ticket or multiple tickets? If you purchase an Advance Play FLORIDA LOTTO ticket and select the add-on feature EZmatch, you will receive one ticket listing your FLORIDA LOTTO numbers and your EZmatch numbers. EZmatch is an instant win, add-on feature that is not associated with draws. If you claim an EZmatch prize on a FLORIDA LOTTO ticket before any or all FLORIDA LOTTO drawings on the ticket have occurred, you will be issued a continuation ticket for the FLORIDA LOTTO drawing with the same play numbers as the original ticket; however, the EZmatch numbers will not be printed on the continuation ticket. 18. Can FLORIDA LOTTO with EZmatch tickets be canceled? No, FLORIDA LOTTO with EZmatch tickets cannot be canceled.

On the MEGA MILLIONS ticket, how is it possible to have the same number twice on one line? Since you select five numbers from 1 through 70 and one Mega Ball number from 1 through 25, it is possible to repeat a number for your Mega Ball number. The letters “MB” will indicate the Mega Ball number on your ticket. MEGA MILLIONS numbers are drawn from two separate sets of balls in which five white balls and one gold Mega Ball are selected at random. 17. Can I purchase Florida MEGA MILLIONS tickets through the Internet or by mail if I live out of the state/country? No. Florida MEGA MILLIONS tickets may only be purchased from the Florida Lottery through terminals at authorized Florida Lottery retailers. Although MEGA MILLIONS is sold nationally, each state can only sell MEGA MILLIONS within their state. 18. How do you win MEGA MILLIONS? During the MEGA MILLIONS drawing, five white balls (numbered 1 through 70) and one gold Mega Ball (numbered 1 through 25) are randomly selected. 23. Are the million dollar prizes paid in cash or as an annual payment option? All MEGA MILLIONS prizes, excluding the jackpot, will be a one-time cash payment less applicable taxes. Jackpot winners may elect to receive their winning in a one-time cash payment or 30 graduated annual installments. 24. Can I claim a Florida MEGA MILLIONS winning ticket in another MEGA MILLIONS state? No. All prizes must be claimed in the state where the winning ticket was sold. 25. When do Florida MEGA MILLIONS tickets expire? Florida MEGA MILLIONS tickets expire 180 days from the winning draw date, just like all other Draw games offered by the Florida Lottery. 26. Does the MEGA MILLIONS jackpot have a cash option? Yes. Jackpot winners may choose to receive their portion of a jackpot prize as an annual payment option or a one-time Cash Option. Jackpot prizes must be claimed within the first 60 days after the winning draw to receive the Cash Option.
The annual payment option prize will be paid in 30 graduated annual installments, each less applicable withholding taxes. The initial payment shall be paid upon completion of internal validation procedures. The subsequent twenty-nine payments shall be paid annually to coincide with the month of the Federal auction date at which the bonds were purchased to fund the annual payment option. All such payments shall be made within seven days of the anniversary of the annual auction date. 27. How long will it take to get my MEGA MILLIONS jackpot prize payment? MUSL requires two weeks to receive ACH transfers of funds from all 46 MEGA MILLIONS members, so the earliest you may receive your MEGA MILLIONS jackpot prize is on the 15th day after the winning draw date. 28. What happens to the money if a MEGA MILLIONS jackpot ticket is won in Florida but is not claimed? At the end of the winning state’s claim period (180 days in Florida), the funds to pay a jackpot that goes unclaimed will be returned to the lottery members in their proportion of sales for the jackpot rollover series.

Who gets the unclaimed prize money for non-jackpot MEGA MILLIONS prizes? All funds for unclaimed MEGA MILLIONS non-jackpot prizes stay in the state where the winning tickets were sold. 30. What happens if a MEGA MILLIONS jackpot winner dies before all payments have been made? The MEGA MILLIONS annual payment option prize will go into the deceased winner’s estate. Annual prize payments can continue to be paid to heirs, or the annual payment option may be cashed out by the winner’s estate.
